Helen is committed to providing treatments that focus on a patient’s best interests with a sensitive and thoughtful approach. She practices both Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Five Elements Acupuncture.
Traditional Chinese Medicine has been practiced for over 2,000 years and is an ancient healing system.
In Five elements acupuncture it is believed that each person has a main element they have an affinity to, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water or Wood. This element can be their greatest strength or sometimes their Achilles heel.
An integrative approach to treatment means a wide range of symptoms can be treated, with the added benefit that the Five Elements approach looks at the emotional and spiritual well being of the individual.
Treating the underlying spirit or essence of a person helps to bring harmony and balance into each individual to provide a balanced system that can operate at its optimal level, restoring harmony and health.
Rather than looking solely at the symptoms of illness Helen focuses on the bigger picture to bring about a general sense of wellbeing as well as resolving your main conditions.
Helen has experience treating patients for:
- pain, injury
- stress, fatigue
- menopause, infertility
- side effects of chemotherapy
